I love spending time with my grandson Landon. I constantly look for "teaching moments" for him. What is so cool is how much the Lord teaches me by observing and being with Landon.
One of the many things he reminds me to do is to have a happy heart, and to be content with the small treasures in life. I don't need to plan elaborate outings with him to make him happy. He smiles and laughs when we go outside and play in the dirt, or look for bugs. He is content to sit on my lap and watch a good cartoon, or look at pictures in a book.
Proverbs 17:22 says, "A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up bones."
So act like a child, and be happy and content with the small treasures of life!
