KOR Parent Letter for Jan 24th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you’ve had a great week!
Your K-5th grade children will be challenged to “know when to stop” with a look at Proverbs 25:16. Parent Cue: This week, at bed time, read Proverbs 25:16. Each of you tell God one good thing you’re thankful for. Pray that God will show you when you’ve had enough of that thing.
Your Pre-K children will learn about the time Jesus showed His power over everything by calming the storm with His words (Matthew 8:23-27). Parent Cue: This week, during play time, make rain sounds with your child. Pretend it’s raining slowly and then harder. Talk about how Jesus can start and stop the rain!
Tomorrow (Jan 23rd) is the spa day for girls in the K-6th grades at 1:30pm to 3:30pm. This is going to be a fun afternoon of pampering as we talk about outer and inner beauty! Ladies: if you would like to help do hair or nails, please let me know.
Mark February 19th (6:30-8:30pm) on your calendars for the next Boys’ Nerf Night!
See you Sunday!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
