The Joy of His Presence

I was reading 1 Chronicles 15. I love the picture that is described in the amount of musicians and singers that David had setup to bring the arc into Jerusalem . David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their fellow Levites as musicians to make a joyful sound with musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals. Kenaniah the head Levite was in charge of the singing... because he was skilled at it. All the elders and leaders were rejoicing, celebrating the arc coming to Jerusalem and in essence being joined together with God, their maker. God was joining them and dwelling in their presence. How awesome! Can you imagine the sights and sounds around you if you were there? Wouldn't that be one of those once in a lifetime experiences that you would never forget. I long for that kind of experience , to see God and rejoice in his coming.
