KOR Parent Letter for Jan 10th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you have had a good first week back in a normal routine.
Your K-5th grade children will be challenged to “pause before [they] lose [their] temper” with a look at Proverbs 16:32. Parent Cue: This week, at bedtime, read Proverbs 16:32 together and pray for God’s help with controlling anger.
Your Pre-K children will be learning about the time Jesus fed five thousand people with only five loaves of bread and two fish (Mark 6:31-44). Parent Cue: This week, ask your child to help you make lunch. Allow him to do as much as possible on his own. Talk about Jesus feeding the 5,000!
We are having a spa day for girls in the K-6th grades on January 23rd at 1:30pm to 3:30pm. This is going to be a fun afternoon of pampering as we talk about outer and inner beauty! Ladies: if you would like to help do hair or nails, please let me know.
See you Sunday!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
