KOR Parent Letter for Feb 14th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors:
I hope you had a great week!
Your K-5th grade will be encouraged that “we can work together to help someone else succeed” through the story of Joshua fighting the Amalekites while Moses held up his staff with the help of Aaron and Hur (Exodus 17:8-13). Parent Cue: This week, at bedtime, read Exodus 17:8-13. Name people who may need help to get a job done. Ask God to show you how your family can work together to help.
Your Pre-K children will be learning about the time when Jesus showed Zacchaeus love even though he had done some bad things (Luke 19:1-10). Parent Cue: This week, as your drive around town with your child, point out different people and ask if Jesus loves them. The answer, of course, is yes! Jesus loves everyone!
The boys are getting excited about the boys’ Nerf Night that is coming up on Feb 19th (6:30-8:30pm). They are going to have a blast! Dinner will be provided. If they have nerf guns and bullets, please have them write their names on them and bring them. If they don’t have their own stuff, we have some they can borrow. Please do not let them bring nerf bow and arrows (we will be in the church and those things pack a good punch). Fathers and big brothers: you are welcome to come and play too! Please let me know if you need more information or would like to help out.
Mark March 11th (6:30-8:30pm) on your calendars for a family board game night!
Have a wonderful weekend!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
