There was a real move of the Holy Spirit this last Saturday. I think Wayne Cordara said it best in his message last Sunday entitled “We Are Putting Action To Our Faith “ . The Holy Spirit started moving last Friday when Freida and I went down to Island Park and passed out some flyers. Glenn and Robert were there so we invited them over to our van to see if there were any clothes they needed. Right off the bat we found some pants that I just happened to thrown in the back seat, before we left. At that point we all prayed thanking God for what he has done for us. That was a big breakthrough in approaching the homeless with prayer. From there we went to the bus depot to pick up my son. Again the Holy Spirit put someone in our path. We met Mary who was a very sweet little old lady on our way back from the bread outlet next to the depot. Mary was staying at the Eugene Mission and was on her way back to the Mission after doing some shopping. After talking to her for a while, she said she was in a lot of pain and asked if we would pray for her, again the Holy Spirit stepped in. When we went down and served dinner I think the Holy Spirit was on each and every one of us. We had 35 men and woman that came. We had two of the homeless men ask for prayer and there were many conversations about God. We also had quite a few Bibles devotionals and tracks that we passed out, thank you Holy Spirit.
Like it says in Daniel 3:24 ,25
Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose in haste and he spoke saying to his counselors ,”Did we not cast three men bound into the mist of the fire?” they answered and said, “ True O King.”
25. Look he answered. “I see four men loosed walking in the mist of the fire and they are not hurt and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
God is the same yesterday, today and forever! He is still a Saving God.
Amen! David and Freida
