KOR Parent Letter for June 26th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you are excited for summer!
Your K-5th grade children will be learning that “the story of Jesus changes how I help others” through the story of Paul and Barnabas in Antioch (Acts 11:25-30; 13:1-3). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner time, talk about someone you could help as a family this summer. Make plans to do so.
Your Pre-K children will be learning that God created the sun, moon, and stars (Genesis 1:14-19). Parent Cue: This week, at bedtime, take a few minutes to marvel at the moon and stars. Talk about how God made all of them!
Come spend a while on the Nile as we are follow Joseph on his Egyptian journey from prison to palace at VBS! Mark August 1-5 on your calendars and let me know if you can help! We will be starting at 6pm for ages 3-10. 3 & 4 year olds will be picked up at 7:30 and everyone else will be done at 9. More information to come.
Have a great week!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
