KOR Parent Letter for July 3rd

Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:

Welcome to summer!

This Month

Your K-5th grade children will continue to talk about faith. We are defining faith as: “believing what Jesus did can change me.” Our memory verse will be Ephesians 2:8: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (NIV).

Your Pre-K children will continue to enjoy the Creation Station as they learn that “God made me.” Their memory verse will be Psalm 89: 11: “You made the world and everything in it” (NCV).

This Sunday

Your K-5th grade children will be learning that “the story of Jesus is for everybody” through the story the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15:1-35). Parent Cue: This week, at bedtime, read Acts 15:1-35. Pray together asking God to make you ready to share the story of Jesus with anyone at any time.

Your Pre-K children will be learning that God created the fish and the birds (Genesis 1:20-23). Parent Cue: This week, at bath time, teach your child how to make fish faces! Talk about how God made all the fish in the seas!

Pastor Bre

“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
