KOR Parent Letter for Sept 25th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you have had a great week!
Your K-5th grade children will be encouraged that “you can trust God no matter what” through the story of Joseph being reunited with his family (Genesis 42-45). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner, ask: How can we each show that we are someone who can be trusted?
Your Pre-K children will be learning that they can trust what God says like Naaman did when he dipped in the Jordan River seven times(2 Kings 5:1-14). Parent Cue: This week, at bath time, let your child dip a toy seven times under the water, counting out loud. Talk about how Naaman trusted God and did what He said!
Join us for the “Gift of Parenting” seminar on October 14-15 (6:30-8pm on Friday and 9am-3:30pm on Saturday) as we unwrap the amazing, extravagant, (sometimes odd) gift of biblical parenting. Childcare (infant through 5th grade) will be provided in addition to lunch on Saturday. Registration is required. The registration fee will be $25 per couple and $12.50 for single parents. Brochures (with the registration forms) will be available at the Hub, Kids on the Rock table, and in the church office.
See you Sunday!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
