I was thinking this week about the importance of making a mark with my life. Most people my age are pretty busy looking out for number one, but if that is our focus, what mark have we left when we’re gone? I was blessed to be able to attend a Switchfoot concert last week and the words of one song by Jon Foreman really spoke to me.
Life is short; I wanna live it well. One life, one story to tell
Life is short; I wanna live it well. And you're the one I'm living for
Awaken oh my soul, every breath that you take is a miracle
Life is short; I wanna live it well
1 Peter 4:9-10 says that we should “Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
If you want to live life well by serving others this week, I invite you to join us for BFF’s. We will meet at the church at 9 am to bake muffins and fellowship together, then we will travel over to the Gateway Living Center to share our treats and love on the residents there. I hope to see you Friday!
