KOR Parent Letter for Oct 23
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you’ve had a great week!
Your K-5th grade children will be encouraged that “you can do what you should do even when others are afraid” through the story of Joshua and Caleb and the ten spies (Number 13-14). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner, ask: What is a fear you have that you know is silly?
Your Pre-K children will be learning about how God’s way is perfect through the story of God leading the Israelites with a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire (Exodus 13:21-22). Parent Cue: This week, while you’re driving around town, talk about which way you will go. When we go God’s way we are always going the right way because God’s way is perfect.
Join us at Skate World on November 17th (6-8pm) for a family skate night!
The Gift of Parenting Seminar was wonderful! CDs will be available soon for you if you were unable to attend.
See you Sunday!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
