KOR Parent Letter for Oct 30th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you’ve had a great week!
Your K-5th grade children will be encouraged that “you can do what you should do because God is with you” through the story of the walls of Jericho (Joshua 5:13-6:27). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner, ask: Have you ever had to stand up to someone who was doing something they shouldn’t? Were you scared to do that?
Your Pre-K children will be learning about how God showed Moses the way to get water for God’s people (Exodus 17:1-7). Parent Cue: This week, at play time, make cookies with your child. Talk about how recipes show how to make cookies and God shows us the right way to go in the Bible
Join us at Skate World on November 17th (6-8pm) for a family skate night!
The Gift of Parenting Seminar was wonderful! CDs are available at the CD counter for you if you were unable to attend.
Don't forget that there will only be one service next Sunday (Nov 6th) at 10:30am due to the couples' retreat!
See you Sunday!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
