KOR Parent Letter for Nov 27th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you’re looking forward to this weekend!
Your K-5th grade children will be encouraged to “honor God by giving Him credit” through the story of David dancing before God (2 Samuel 6:12b-22a). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner, make a list of people near you who might need reminding of their value. Think of a way to show them their value.
Your Pre-K children will be thankful for people who help them as they look at the story of Elijah and a widow helping each other have food to eat (1 Kings 17:7-16). Parent Cue: This week, plan a special play date for your child with one or two friends. Before the play date, pray and thank God for the friends He gives us.
There will be no Awana this Wednesday (November 23rd).
We will be celebrating Jesus’ birthday with a birthday party on December 5th at 6:30pm. Please have your children bring new hats, socks, or gloves to be given to the homeless as gifts for Jesus. You could even have them wrap them up like birthday gifts.
The Gift of Parenting Seminar was wonderful! CDs are available at the CD counter for you if you were unable to attend.
Have a happy Thanksgiving!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV84).
