KOR Parent Letter for Feb 12th
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you’re having a great week!
Your K-5th grade children will be encouraged to “comfort others who are hurting” through the story of Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4:35-41). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner, ask: “If you were going through something hard, how would you want the people around you to respond?”
Your Pre-K children will learn that Jesus loves them through the story of Jesus welcoming the children to Himself (Luke 18:15-16). Parent Cue: This week, at play time, make valentines with your child. As you work, tell them that Jesus’ love is so big that He can love everyone on their list including them!
Bring your K-6th grade sons out for the Boys’ Nerf Night this Friday (February 10th ) at 6:30-8:pm. Pizza dinner will be provided. Richard Bockla (our Middle School Pastor) will be our guest directing the fun and sharing about being a man of God. Dads, brothers, and grandpas are welcome to stay and join in the fun.
We will be offering an Awana Handbook Workshop on February 19th at 1:30-2:30 for children who need to get caught up in their handbooks.
Have a great weekend!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV).
