KOR Parent Letter for May 21st
Dear Parents, Grandparents, & Mentors of Calvary:
I hope you have had a great week!
Your K-5th grade children will be encouraged that “God gives you what you need to keep going” through a look at the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Parent Cue: This week, at dinner, ask: what has God given you that helps you have determination?
Your Pre-K children will continue to learn that “God’s got it” through the story of Him telling Gideon what to do to win the battle (Judges 7:9-22). Parent Cue: This week; at play time; march with your child while pretending a spoon is your torch, a pitcher is your clay jar, and their hand is a horn. Shout like Gideon!
We are offering one more Awana handbook workshop this Sunday (May 21st) at 1:30-2:30pm for children to get caught up in reaching their goals in their handbooks.
Come out and celebrate with us all that God did in the hearts of our children at our Awana Awards Ceremony on May 31st at 6:30pm. A cupcake reception will follow.
See you Sunday!
“Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV).
