The message for last week was about taking time to rest. It's been two and a half years since we started the Calvary Running Team. We've had a great time, built many relationships, been honored to walk with several of you through difficult times, and along the way we've met some fitness goals as well. But now it's time to take a break.
While Diane and I have no intention of giving up running (it's our therapy!), we are going to step away from leading the running team for a bit. There are several new community groups starting this summer and we want to have the opportunity to join them and build new relationships. We encourage you to do the same.
Next Sunday, the summer issue of the Calvary Magazine will come out and with it, details about the summer community groups. There will be opportunity to sign up for one or more groups in the Atrium the next two Sunday's. You can also find information about summer community groups on our website; calvaryopenbible.org.
Find a group and get plugged in. As the writer of Hebrews reminds us, "do not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another."
We will continue to meet this week so come join the Calvary Running Team for one more run or walk. On Wednesday we will meet at noon at the new Millrace extension. On Saturday we will meet at Mill Race at 9 am. We will NOT meet on Sunday.
I hope to see you out there.
Have a great week!
